House Rules

Disclaimer

At Elite Dog Resort: Luxury Resort & Spa, we strive to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all our guests. Please note the following:

1. Dog Breeds and Size:

  • We only accept small and medium dog breeds to ensure compatibility with our facilities and activities.
    • Small dogs: Up to 7 kg (15.4 lbs) – For example, Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Shih Tzu, Bichon Frisé, Yorkshire Terrier, and Maltese.
    • Medium dogs: Between 7 kg – 15 kg (15.4 lbs – 33 lbs) – For example, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle, French Bulldog, and Miniature Schnauzer.
  • Other breeds will be evaluated on an individual basis. While we accept small and medium breeds, large dogs are not allowed as we are not equipped to accommodate them safely. Our facilities are specifically designed for smaller breeds, and we prioritize their comfort and safety.

2. Health and Medical Requirements:

  • All dogs must be healthy, with up-to-date vaccinations and no signs of sickness or parasites. Proof of vaccination must be provided before check-in.
  • Parasite Control: All dogs must be on a flea and tick prevention program to help ensure the health of all animals on the property.
  • Microchip or Identification: We strongly recommend that all dogs have a microchip or a collar with clear identification and contact details.

3. Behavioral Expectations:

  • No Aggression Tolerance: While we understand that dogs have different personalities, we do not tolerate aggressive behavior. Dogs that show signs of aggression towards other dogs or staff will not be allowed to participate in group play sessions. Owners will be contacted immediately for alternative arrangements.
  • We understand that some dogs may have dominant or assertive personalities. While we welcome all dogs, those with such tendencies will not be able to join group play sessions with other dogs. To ensure their well-being, these dogs may have shorter playtimes or enjoy alternative activities designed just for them.
  • Dogs with fear-based behaviors (e.g., extreme shyness or anxiety) will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Alternative activities or environments will be offered to ensure they are comfortable.

4. Dietary Needs:

  • All dogs must have their food clearly labeled with their name and feeding instructions.
  • Special diets or medical dietary restrictions must be communicated in advance.
  • Treats: If you wish to provide treats for your dog during their stay, please bring them along with instructions. Our staff will follow your instructions carefully to avoid any food sensitivities or allergies.

5. Safety and Security:

  • Supervision: While our staff closely supervises all dogs during their stay, we encourage pet owners to provide clear instructions on their dog’s behavior, habits, or fears so we can ensure maximum comfort.
  • Dogs must be kept on leash when outside of the designated play areas to prevent accidents or escapes.
  • We are a leash-free zone only in the play areas designed for social interaction. Outside of these areas, dogs must remain on leash.
  • Staff Availability: We have staff on-site at all times, including overnight, ensuring that your dog is always monitored and cared for, even during non-business hours.

6. Liability – Emergency and Unforeseen Incidents:

  • Emergency Procedures: In the unlikely event of an emergency, such as illness or injury, veterinary care will be sought immediately. Owners will be notified as soon as possible. If the emergency requires medical care that exceeds the resort’s facilities, we will transport the dog to an approved local veterinary clinic.
  • Liability for Death or Injury: While we take every precaution to ensure your dog’s safety, unforeseen incidents can occur. We provide constant monitoring, 24/7 staff supervision, and safety measures, but we cannot be held responsible for injuries, illness, or the death of any dog during their stay. In case of such an incident, we will make every effort to inform the owner immediately and seek the appropriate veterinary care.
  • By entrusting us with the care of your dog, you acknowledge and agree to this liability policy.

7. Check-In and Check-Out Policies:

  • Check-in and Check-out times will be scheduled based on availability. Please confirm your arrival and departure times in advance.

8. Playtime and Socialization:

  • Group Play: Dogs will be grouped based on size, temperament, and playstyle to ensure compatibility and safety. Some dogs may be placed in one-on-one play sessions if they are not suitable for group play.
  • Active and Quiet Zones: We provide separate areas for active play and quiet time to accommodate all dogs’ needs. Each dog will have a chance to enjoy both environments.
  • Rest Periods: Dogs will be given appropriate rest periods throughout the day to ensure they don’t become overly tired or stressed.

9. Grooming and Hygiene:

  • Grooming services will be offered as part of your dog’s stay. If your dog requires special grooming needs (e.g., brushing, nail trimming), please let us know in advance.
  • We expect dogs to be bathed prior to their stay to maintain the cleanliness of our facilities, especially for longer stays.

10. Toys and Personal Items:

    • Personal items: If your dog has a favorite toy, blanket, or bed that helps them feel comfortable, feel free to bring it along. However, we cannot guarantee the safety of personal belongings.
    • We provide plenty of toys for dogs to enjoy during their stay, and they will be rotated regularly to keep things fresh.

    11. Liability for Property Damage:

      • Owner Responsibility: Owners are responsible for informing us about any special health conditions, behavioral issues, or concerns their dogs may have. This will help us provide the best care possible.
      • We are not responsible for personal items lost, damaged, or destroyed during your dog’s stay.
      • Damage to Property: If your dog damages any property (e.g., furniture, equipment), the owner will be charged for the repairs or replacement.

      12. Late Pick-Up Policy

Unclaimed Pets: If a dog remains unclaimed for more than 48 hours after the scheduled pick-up date, and the owner has not responded to our attempts to contact them, we will consider the dog as abandoned. In this case, we will take appropriate steps to ensure the dog’s safety, including contacting local animal authorities or shelters.

Late Pick-Ups: If a pet owner does not arrive to pick up their dog on the agreed check-out date and time, we will attempt to contact the owner via phone, email, and any other contact details provided. If the owner is unreachable, we will continue to care for the dog, but additional fees will apply for each additional day the dog stays.

Extended Stay Fees: Any stay beyond the agreed check-out time will be subject to a daily fee. This fee will cover the cost of staff supervision, food, and care for the pet.

By entrusting us with the care of your dog, you acknowledge and agree to this liability policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
